<Noxz> the alternatives that I am aware of are to make an alkoxide, dip/spin coat, expose to air(humidity) where the hydroxide is made, then heat to decomposition
<Noxz> probably just as effective

<sn00n> hi
<pie_> o/
* pie_ sn00ns the sn00n
<jn__> *puts on green sunglasses* There is no sn00n.
<sn00n> :P
<sn00n> do you guys have proper EBL photoresist recipes?
<pie_> it is not the sn00n that bends, it is you
<sn00n> kek
<jn__> i don't even have a lab
<sn00n> hm ok, that's not a crime!
<pie_> also D:
<sn00n> what's that part of? SEM?
<pie_> i think so
<pie_> the guy's entire twitter is cool
<pie_> so much sem dis/reassembly
<pie_> sem/tem/idk/???
<pie_> ELECTRO-COLUMN-COOL-PICTURE-MAKER
<Noxz> Oooo
<Noxz> pretty pics
<sn00n> hmm, but using VacSeal/Epoxy stuff for quick sealing HV equip is very common, right?
<Noxz> maybe it was
<sn00n> of course, it's a bit ugly, but it works
<Noxz> I wouldnt say so anymore
<sn00n> hehe
<Noxz> but dont ask me
<Noxz> ahhh, nice, he has a (ultra) microtome
<pie_> people and their nice things :(
<Noxz> I need/want something along those lines for slicing up my graphene rolls to be vertically aligned
<pie_> i havent been able to figure out if this is his stuff or he's setting it up for other peoples labs
<pie_> i think its the latter???
<Noxz> daily standup, brb
<Noxz> cutting stuff should be easy, no? :P
<Noxz> ah, he made his own knifes out of glass, neat
<Noxz> he has awesome stuff/info, good find
<Noxz> maybe I will start a twitter account when I start building my stuff - though I was planning on just doing youtube vlogs
<Noxz> oh, also, due to bottlebots season about to start, I was looking up scale models of sherman tanks last night :P
<Noxz> new rules allow projectiles, such as gas powered guns
<Noxz> so long as it doesnt harm the polycarbonate shields
<Noxz> also limited to like 340 ft/s ?
<Noxz> any moveable part
<Noxz> 370
<Noxz> =~ 250 mph
<Noxz> commercial air guns get over 900 ft/s as a 'standard'
<Noxz> I was also thinking rail/coil gun :P
<pie_> emp gun?
<pie_> :D xP
<Noxz> EMP not allowed
<pie_> yeah i figured
<Noxz> :P
<sn00n> :)
<Noxz> I love how it is written
<Noxz> like a conversation, not a patent/laywer
<Noxz> written for kids :P

<Noxz> any industrial alternatives to the [ultra] microtome?
<Noxz> ie, I want "thin" slices, but I dont want to manually peel stuff away
<Noxz> needs to be more automated of collecting the slices
<Noxz> every microtome I have seen is essentially manual in that regard
<Noxz> maybe laser cutting + a vacuum PnP mechanism
