Hey there! I have a problem. My IPFS node A is in a local network, my IPFS node B is outside this local network. I'm trying to connect node B to node A. When I bring up my ipfs daemon and I check ipfs id, there is no pubilc ip address. My question is how to connect node B to node A through internet? Do I have to set the router NAT rules?

Can we use ipfs for file storage on pc?
<ShokuninDiscord[>
Sure?
<ShokuninDiscord[>
You can add the files on your pc and serve them on ipfs
<ShokuninDiscord[>
And you can download ipfs hashes on your pc
<ShokuninDiscord[>
Reminder IPFS meetup is this Thursday in SF!

Is there any cons to ipfs?
<ShokuninDiscord[>
Plenty
<ShokuninDiscord[>
It’s slower than a centralized setup in many cases, you need to run a node or use a gateway, links keep changing if you update your content...
<ShokuninDiscord[>
It’s like any tech, it has upsides and downsides
<ShokuninDiscord[>
It’s the best basis yet for the decentralized web imho

<jacopostanchi[m]>
Besides the Service Worker API needs a TSL certificate so does it mean that to use js-ipfs on a website you need to be in HTTPS?
<jacopostanchi[m]>
TLS*
<jacopostanchi[m]>
Or maybe you meant it runs on a Web Worker and not a Service Worker so it doesn't need HTTPS. But in this case we can't keep js-ipfs running between 2 pages and IPFS Companion has an IPFS node to work with only one 1 page.
