<kgfh> narmstrong: is there any internal photos available for the hwacom amazetv?
<kgfh> I've noticed the lack of HDMI nodes in the device tree source, is this a CVBS-only device?
<narmstrong> kgfh: nop sorry, it’s an old device that lacked some love and I don’t know who has such device in hands
<kgfh> Aw, that's a shame.
<kgfh> I'm thinking of writing some device tree sources to improve support for some of the S905L boxes that I have, does anyone happen to know the differences (if any) between the S905X and the S905L?
<kgfh> Most importantly, would it be okay if I simply used meson-gxl-s905x.dtsi instead of making a new one for S905L?
<kgfh> The internal 100Mbps PHY in the S905L worked just fine with a S905X device tree. I tried P212 and most of the peripherals seem to work just fine.

<kgfh> repk: I'm trying to make some unregistered MIME types for the amlogic blobs, is there any other magic that I should be aware of, other than the "AMLC" and 0x12348765 (for BL31)?
<kgfh> I'm also having a hard time coming up with a short file description. What about "Amlogic encrypted blob"?
<kgfh> Additionally, do the decrypted blobs have any magic that I can utilize?
<kgfh> Especially for BL33, `file` thinks the binary is a PCX image.
<khilman> kgfh: starting with s905x should be fine. I'm not currently aware of any differences that are relevant to the kernel
<kgfh> Sure, I'll start with s905x then. The most important difference I can see is the lack of vp9 support in the vdec unit, which might not be relevant here for now.

<khilman> right, ISTR the last letter in the s905 series often meant a limitation in video codecs and/or limitation in max frequency
