drive strength is working on the rk3288 ... as it's a per-pin setting there

on the rk3188 it's a strange per-pingroup setting, so this will likely take more time

I just asked that as it is PCB related if you need to set these things up right or can live with the defaults.

Some boards have fixed resistors for termination and others not. If not you need to set up the termination with the GPIO pin options.

Astralix1: feature-wise the pinctrl driver-variant of the rk3288 supports everything the earlier ones do + drive-strength as of 3.17 ... the mechanism in question here is the tuning of clock-phases etc, that got newly introduced with the rk3288

mmind00_ and srao: Yup, that's my recollection too. I guess you haven't see any patches related to clock phases, then. Probably need to ping Addy and see what's going on. Unfortunately we have a board where you can't even talk to a normal SD card without adjusting the phases. :(
