is anyone else than Firefly making a good RockChip RK3399 SBC currently?

the Firefly SBC is probably the best. everybody is copying it
<lvrp16>
rock960 literally just came out so who knows
<adj__>
he is gone already

how are the theobroma q7 rk3399 SOM and the base board??

adj__: also it targets a different market then sbcs. it assumes you will build a own baseboard for your application. the evk baseboard is deigned for evaluation and development

LongChair, pong
<LongChair>
how is it going ? :)
<ayaka>
what?
<LongChair>
ayaka: i submited the PR again to mpp, any objections to merge it ?
<ayaka>
The new buffer interface or the dma interface is in the progress
<ayaka>
since the new driver is almost ready
<LongChair>
hmmm not sure what you mean ...
<LongChair>
what's the relation with that PR?
<ayaka>
so it will be rejected since it break the designed of the DMA buffer pool
<LongChair>
so there will be a different API in mpp to do the same thing differently ?
<ayaka>
there will be a different API but I don't think will do the same thing
<LongChair>
ah
<ayaka>
I don't think there is a way to check the reminded buffers in the v4l2 api
<ayaka>
but since you have the control to the buffer pool, you can always find a way to do that
<LongChair>
the main purpose of this API is to know how much buffers are remaining that we can write in (ie we just fill all the possible buffers in decoder, before starting playback)
<LongChair>
there used to be 4 buffers previously
<LongChair>
so we'd write the 4 first packets there, and then start decoding
<LongChair>
i suppose that a buffer pool would provide such information ...
<ayaka>
I know the purpose of that API
<ayaka>
that patch I mean
<LongChair>
any ETA on that buffer pool ?
<ayaka>
but many ideas of the input operation are charging

most of the work is the driver part, not on the userspace
<ayaka>
only after the driver is stocked, the implementation of the userspace won't begin
