<sb0> rjo, so on Florent's board, all the resistors below the "J5" marking have been removed
<sb0> whereas some are still present on the ones in the lab
<rjo> sb0: right of the j5 silk?
<rjo> probably the ones greg is talking about.
<sb0> yes sorry, with the orientation of your picture they are right of the j5 silk

<rjo> _florent_: have you started wiring the Cordic already? if not i'll give it a start
rohitksingh has joined #m-labs
<rjo> _florent_: ... though not now. gotta go. maybe later tonight.
<sb0> rjo, do you want me to write the 3.0 release announcement?
<sb0> also, been thinking about it, and I'm not really sure we need a rc, there are the unittests, plus some manual tests, and isn't really a fundamental change of behavior compared to the 2.x
<sb0> for things like SED, yes, we want a rc, since the underflow/sequence error behavior of experiments becomes changed quite radically
<whitequark> rjo: turns out i already tried to handle the case of mod vs rem
<whitequark> but i did some clever bit twiddling that passed tests but failed
<whitequark> i'll just replace it with a simple template
<sb0> whitequark, have you looked at numba?
<whitequark> oh right
<whitequark> wtf is that
<whitequark> that code is at least two times more complex than it should be
<whitequark> only slightly less bad
<whitequark> ugh whatever
<sb0> anyway the "math" part is there, you can reorganize it
<whitequark> hm, this is harder than I thought
