<xobs> I'm running a migen/litex design under cocotb, which works by starting the simulator and presenting various scenarios. The problem is that it never restarts the simulator.
<xobs> How can I insert resets into my migen objects, to re-initialize values to their reset values?
<xobs> I'd like to avoid manually placing resets everywhere, since I don't need them in the FPGA design and they'll just take up LUTs.
<xobs> And if I try to use the ResetInserter decorator, it fails because some of the submodules already have a ResetInserter, and the class also has multiple clock domains.

<sb0> whitequark: here?
<whitequark> sb0: yes
<sb0> I had an issue where solvespace extrusion would do nothing, but it turns out this problem can be solved by creating the object to be extruded *after* using new group -> sketch in new workplane
<whitequark> yes, the ordering is a bit screwy
<whitequark> it's basically a tree internally and it's flattened in a way that's not obvious

<sb0> whitequark: how do I make old constraints appear again so I can edit or remove them?
<whitequark> sb0: select an older group in the property browser
<sb0> thanks, that worked
<sb0> generally I like solvespace so far
<sb0> it's significantly less frustrating than the other tools I've tried before...
<whitequark> yes, that's common feedback
<sb0> if I add a constraint on an object after it's been extruded, it says constraints cannot be satisfied (whereas it works if the constraint was added before extrusion). how do I fix that?
<whitequark> you add the constraint before extrusion
<whitequark> (other than the extrusion length constraint)
<sb0> well, I was one of the first extrusions I made. that basically means starting over again...
<sb0> or can I just delete that extrusion?
<whitequark> what do you mean starting over?
<whitequark> you can switch to an earlier group and add a new constraint
<sb0> ooooh
<sb0> ok
<sb0> I

<mtrbot-ml> [mattermost] <sb10q> in a ECDL, should I try to have a large beam diameter and illuminate more of the diffraction grating?
mauz555 has joined #m-labs
<rjo[m]> depends. it's a trade off among EC linewidth, forward/backward power, beam quality, available collimators, etc.
