nicolaus: If I remember correctly, you were previously asking Ocsigen-related questions. In my Ocsigen-related project I faced this error in the case of a module that is not installed properly (Owl on Ubuntu), and if I missuses server-client-shared "scopes".

The former could be checked inline with "#require "bytes";;" on utop/ocaml, the latter via code review of libary functions use within the .eliom files.

Leonidas: you’re not missing anything. I don’t think depexts are worth supporting until we figure out how to streamline them a little more

rgrinberg: thanks. yeah, depexts feel kinda fragile and copy-paste prone. I was hoping I can convert a project to use auto-generated opam files, but in the meantime I'll just generate the opam files once and edit in the depexts.

I am however struggling splitting a package, since dune puts the library I want to split into the main package. I have lib.opam and lib.lwt.opam and despite (public_name lib.lwt) dune still puts the lwt artifacts into the lib.install file.

rgrinberg: is there a way to generate `{= version}` in OPAM via dune-project? If I just specify `(= version)` it generates `{= "version"}` which I believe is not the same thing.
