people were wondering if it'd be possible to have a more declarative approach instead of all that C code but I guess it's hard to make abstractions when you are reverse engineering and don't know the complete picture in advance

Can I have a separate partition on my sd card for the OS? I want to try the new image by booting it of my sd card. Do I hope a second partition won't have negative affects on my sd card (see logs for my prev gpt partition table sd card problem.)?
