zzak, I remember long time ago somebody tried to discuss cleaning extensions, but the summary was it's to big mess and it's better not to touch them ... was there any new plan to unify extensions?
<postmodern>
was that related to mkmf possibly?
<postmodern>
i remember there was a prototype next-generation version of mkmf
<postmodern>
mpapis, yeah it was an experiment. one does not simply replace mkmf
<mpapis>
postmodern, if I remember correctly I tried to look through the code but it did not looked good, compiling extensions is big problem not to be fixed by random developer
