Maybe other people from the community will be able to help :). I was wondering : since apps in sandstorm do not have access to the network, does that mean that apps like TheLounge (IRC client) or libs like weboob cannot be used ? (or at least without forking them)

Hey nicofrand. Currently the route to access non-http ports is slightly complicated and can only be achieved on a self-hosted environment, but the team are trying to implement the "powerbox" which will expose the network layer to applications. There is an IRC bouncer in development.

nice. I am currently using an app that uses weboob and I cannot imagine rewriting weboob only to be able to use the end-app. Is there an ETA for this powerbox ?

maybe I should give it a try for the weboob-based app and wait a little for the IRC client with a web frontend
