<ToasterKTN>
Hi all, I am looking for some help with dcc_send. If i try to send data from the bot to me, the dcc transfer allways stops after about 13-21k of data. I get the following Exception in the console
<ToasterKTN>
/cinch-2.3.1/lib/cinch/dcc/outgoing/send.rb:108:in `recv': wrong number of arguments (0 for 1..2) (ArgumentError)
<ToasterKTN>
Any ideas ?
<dominikh>
let me check.
<dominikh>
I could've sworn that this used to work, but Ruby 1.9.3 docs disagree with me :) will fix.
<ToasterKTN>
It happens on all my servers. all kind of ubuntus with ruby versions from ruby 1.9.3p484 up to ruby 2.3.0p0 (2015-12-25)
<dominikh>
give me 10 minutes for testing etc and I'll push a new version.
<ToasterKTN>
@dominikh Thank you very much. Btw: I like this Framework very much.. it saves me a lot of time on managing all my servers :-D
<dominikh>
nice
<dominikh>
what's sad is that this has been broken since day 1, and you're the first one to complain.
<ToasterKTN>
Uii :-D I am sorry about that.
<ToasterKTN>
I searched all over the net for that problem, and dindt find anything.so i thouhgt, its my fault.. so i tried hard to make it work.. without any success
<dominikh>
exceptions inside of Cinch's code are usually bugs in Cinch.
<ToasterKTN>
I had like 15 lines of code, to send me some lines of syslog.. i thought, maybe the problem is that file gets changed. so i first copied file.. same problem etc..after all i thought i may check out this chan
<dominikh>
heh
<dominikh>
well, while I'm already here, I found another bug :)
<ToasterKTN>
Nice.. its happy hour then
<dominikh>
wouldn't call it "happy", but sure :P
<ToasterKTN>
After all, take your time. I need to get a bit of sleep anyways.. I will check back tomorrow at git and here, if that is okay for you
<dominikh>
sure. I'll push the new version in about 2 minutes though.
<ToasterKTN>
All right. Thank you very much again. I love it.. Vene i am a Java coder, and dont have much skills with ruby..

<dominikh>
how come you're using Ruby for IRC then?
<ToasterKTN>
I allways try new things out, if i have the chance. I saw it, it was well documented. Not much code for a plugin.. So i started using it. Works like a charm.. mostly :-X
<dominikh>
certainly less code than IRC with Java, yeah
<ToasterKTN>
made that that dynamic loading plugins / self updating / as service on my servers. Controlling virsh / services with it. Or stuff like wakeonlan. got 42 Servers online on my little irc server atm. Could make em all reboot with a simple !reboot
<dominikh>
not sure I'd control a fleet that size via IRC, but to each their own ;)
