<moeSizlak> why cant i connect to any efnet server via ssl?
<moeSizlak> i get this
<moeSizlak> \/home/moesizlak/.rbenv/versions/2.5.1/lib/ruby/gems/2.5.0/gems/cinch-2.3.4/lib/cinch/irc.rb:101:in `connect': SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv3/TLS write client hello: wrong version number (OpenSSL::SSL::SSLError)
<dominikh> because it's using SSL 3 and efnet apparently doesn't support that anymore. beats me if that's the default of openssl, ruby, or cinch.
<moeSizlak> so how do i fix it
<moeSizlak> I tried:
<moeSizlak> OpenSSL::SSL::SSLContext::DEFAULT_PARAMS[:ssl_version] = :TLSv1_1
<moeSizlak> and that doidnt work
<dominikh> I have no idea. You're on your own debugging that.
