<Noxz> been looking up piezo stuff much more.. have a few projects planned
<nmz787> I would like some piezo stuff
<nmz787> single-droplet generators would be cool to play with
<Noxz> I have a photonics book coming in the mail, which I have already read the chapter on acousto-optical modulation via pdf, but having a physical copy plus easy references to other chapters will be neat
<Noxz> oh, I als saw some animations of shutters used w/ fast piezo linear
<Noxz> shutter + QCM would be good
<Noxz> but yeah, I dont even think they should be too difficult to make oneself.. BaTiO3 is cheap compared to the amount you need
<Noxz> $50 USD/kg or so
<Noxz> lots of experiments with that much
