<JBD1986> All, I've seen an issue where having a high draw USB device connected to my mx6 device at boot can prevent the wlan0 chip from initializing. It's a wl1273 chip. I was wondering if there was a way I could gracefully reinitialize the wlan interface via the command line if this happens?
<JBD1986> NOTE: I do not have a pmic regulator for wl1273 power

<hste_> jas-hacks: have u played with imx6 lately?
<jas-hacks> hste_: hi, was busy with getting dvb-t usb stick working with gstreamer-imx + building android
<hste_> jas-hacks: did u get it to work?
<jas-hacks> hste_: dvb-t stick works
<hste_> What kernel do u use?
<jas-hacks> hste_: 3.10
<hste_> jas-hacks: nice. What imx6 dev r u hacking on?
<jas-hacks> hste_: have 5 boards to choose from
<hste_> :)
<victhor> using the dvb-t stick as what it's supposed to do or as a sdr?
<jas-hacks> victhor: TV not sdr (yet !)
<victhor> this is the first time I see those being used for TV :P

<Tenkawa> any of you still using the gk802?
<Tenkawa> I'm trying to get the 3.10.17 kernel working and not having any success
<hste_> Tenkawa: I have one, and its working with 3,10.17
<Tenkawa> hste_: first thing I ran into os no loadaddr with make uimage
<Tenkawa> tried using the one from my 3.0.35 kernel and it just doesnt boot
<Tenkawa> I have to be missing something simple
<Tenkawa> er os/is
<hste_> Tenkawa: I used another uboot with support for dts
<Tenkawa> doh
<Tenkawa> thats a good point
<Tenkawa> the devicetree
<Tenkawa> hste_: got a link for that uboot?
<Tenkawa> I thought it might be something with the dtb however wasnt sure
<Tenkawa> ok will do thanks

<Tenkawa> is the onboard 81932cu broke in 3.10?
<Tenkawa> er 8192cu
<Tenkawa> hste_: thanks again
<hste_> Tenkawa: I have a kernel based on the new alpha that should have the 8192cu http://stende.no-ip.info/imx6/kernel-3.10.31-mix.tar.xz
<Tenkawa> is there anything actually wrong with trying to compile the 8192cu in with .17 or isd it just broke?
<Tenkawa> trying to avoid adding more physical pieces if possible heheheh
<hste_> Tenkawa: it needed a patch to compile it for 3.10
<Tenkawa> to compile or to work?
<Tenkawa> because it "did" compile for me
<Tenkawa> win 4
<Tenkawa> oops
<Tenkawa> too bad theres no mainstream 3.14 support
<Tenkawa> heheh
<hste_> Tenkawa: to compile. the rtl8192 driver is compiling, but the one from realtek will not work without this https://github.com/dz0ny/rt8192cu
<Tenkawa> ah
<Tenkawa> let me go take a look at that then
<hste_> Tenkawa: but my wifi is broke so I dont know what works and not
<Tenkawa> ahhhh
<Tenkawa> ouch
<Tenkawa> at this point I'll be happy with just booting
<Tenkawa> I "can" add a usb wifi if needed
<Tenkawa> well.. time to try it...
<Tenkawa> ok.. here goes attempt 1
<Tenkawa> well u-boot screen shows up
<Tenkawa> thats about it atm
<Tenkawa> it needs a fat fs to boot from doesnt it?
<Tenkawa> for the kernel and such
<Tenkawa> oh well.. got to get ready to leave for now anyway. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction
