<bfederau>
ncgs: sorry I think I could not help you with this
<bfederau>
likewise: yes I got it working

bfederau: Can you help me get it working on my side? ;-) I am using Yocto with meta-freescale to build it, had to fix some small build configurations, but the quicknanobrowser nor the webengine fancybrowser / browser example gives me content on the content pane. It goes from white to off-white somewhere near the 70% progress bar, which then halts.
<likewise>
bfederau: that was with the eglfs QPA of Qt, btw.
<likewise>
bfederau: I would be happy with any (X11/wayland/eglfs) implementation that works, to start with, as a known-good point.
<bfederau>
likewise: so my setup was Ubuntu 12.04 and xcb
<bfederau>
which qtwebengine version do you use?
<likewise>
bfederau: I tried 5.4.0 through .3 I think.
<likewise>
bfederau: and 5.5 master
<likewise>
bfederau: I'm not sure if my problem lies in QtWebEngine (or Qt) itself
<likewise>
bfederau: but working from a known-good setup allows me to investigate differences.
<bfederau>
ah ok, because I used the dev branch 3 month ago
<likewise>
bfederau: what kernel did you use, and what rootfs? You compiled Qt natively on the i.MX6?
<bfederau>
because of my hardware I had to use the very old 3.0.35 kernel
<bfederau>
I had a separate imx6 build machine with 4 GB RAM
<bfederau>
so I could build it natively
<bfederau>
and as I said I used Ubuntu 12.04
<bfederau>
unfortunately I can't provide you this setup because this was work for a customer
<bfederau>
I build al the qt stuff in their build environment
<bfederau>
but I can definetly confirm that qtwebengine works on the i.mx6 ;)
<likewise>
bfederau: was anything of this accelerated through the IPU/VPU/GPU?
<bfederau>
likewise: the qt/qml part uses opengl because outherwise I could not use the Qml WebEngineView, but the video was not accelerated
<likewise>
bfederau: thanks, I am aware of that work. It don't think it's in the Qt build of QtWebEngine yet.
<likewise>
bfederau: Did you ever try QtWebEngine to work on a Yocto build? I remember seeing you on the meta-freescale ml.
<bfederau>
likewise: yeah you have to apply the changes to the qtwebengine chromium part
<likewise>
bfederau: well, we might as well add that to the meta build data then.
<bfederau>
i have several i.mx6 yocto qt5 setups (eglfs and wayland) here, but never tried to build qtwebengine yet
<bfederau>
currently I have no time to do this ;)
<bfederau>
ncgs: btw I also made good experiences with qt-gstreamer on i.mx6. the advantage is you can build your own gstreamer pipeline ...

seems we have found where the problem is and are trying to fix it now. There is another one problem. A video of small resolution hangs in qtmediaplayer, although full hd 1080p plays ok.
<bfederau>
ncgs: so you found the camera issue inside the imx6vivantevideonode? what is/was it?
