Does weston on imx6 only work on fbdev background?! I'd always assumed yocto was building it gpu-accelerated vivante_dri etc. Is this is possibly why my egl applications won't display anything??

meta-fsl-arm has patche for "Add-GPU-VIV-suport-for-wayland-and-weston" so...now I'm confused...it only has code for fbdev backend....with gal2d.

I am only just getting my head around opengl[es]/weston&backends etc. and I have no idea where gal2d comes into it all...

there are 3 sets of gles/egl libraries from vivante. one for x11-based gles, one for wayland-based gles, and one for gles directly on fbdev

funny thing is that the wayland-based ones are very similar to the fbdev-based ones

and indeed on the imx6 you can let weston draw things with the g2d api instead of gles

Ah okay, so no vivante_dri for weston. Got it. I realised with that code i posted before that not even the egl surface is drawn...it's strange.
