<kloczek> guys I have question about overheating or cooling sd cards
<kloczek> Up to now I've been using USB 2.0 SD card adapters but reading or writing even 8GB cards takes very long time
<kloczek> So I come with idea to buy USB 3.0 SD card adapter and it works waaaay faster
<kloczek> only issue is that writing with USB 3.0 speed is causing release a lot of heat and I found that after writing 8GB card is causing that card is seriously HOT
<kloczek> Q1: how to throttle R/W speed using for example dd?
<kloczek> Q2: maybe someone saw USB 3.0 SD card adapter which is able to cool down SD card during use?
<willmore> kloczek, flash works better at higher temps.

<kloczek> willmore: of course .. problem is that most of the SBCs have only SD card slot 🙂

<willmore> kloczek, SD cards use flash memory.
