<krzk>
so if new feature is covered by this - then you can assume it is tested by me... but mostly it won't.
<krzk>
It would require tremendous effect of time for me to develop/test every feature people post... assuming that I have the HW (and I have now only few Odroid boards, back in Samsung I also had Trats2 availabe and few more)
<wwilly>
ok
<wwilly>
make sense
<krzk>
so overall - the submitter of a patch is responsible for testing (which is clearly stated in SubmittingPatches of Linux kernel)
<wwilly>
yeah sure
<krzk>
in case of bigger subsystems with multiple drivers for multiple devices (e.g. storage, regulators, rtc etc) the maintainers have even less HW so they do less and less tests
<krzk>
unfortunately I do not have any ARMv8 Exynos board so 64-bit is not tested at all for me... all testing depends on community
<wwilly>
so it's why there are still some bugs I guess
<krzk>
wwilly: oh yeah... :)
<wwilly>
ok, PEBCAK again
<wwilly>
:)
<wwilly>
it'a new installation, I guess I foget a sysconf somewhere to allow pmc reading from user...
