<mrueg>
that's usually the place patches are sent to
<mrueg>
panicking: mmind00 maintains the rockchip part iirc
<rperier>
panicking: scripts/get_maintainer.pl -f <the modified file> will show emails where you need to send your patches (that's a list of maintainers)
<panicking>
Ok
<rperier>
if you have something to send, ML is always preferred
<panicking>
I'm working now on increase clock speed
<panicking>
I have timeout
<panicking>
if I go up to some khz

rperier: yes, i'm very excited about it. i'm updating the README today and will be pushing it to github so you can look it over and (hopefully) merge (and/or provide feedback)
<rperier>
nice !
<rperier>
that's great to have another user :)
<tlwoerner>
it would have been working a day or two earlier, but i discovered that the afptool that comes with git://github.com/neo-technologies/rockchip-mkbootimg.git was not creating correct images (they were corrupted in some way)
<tlwoerner>
when i switched to the afptool from git://github.com/TeeFirefly/rk2918_tools.git everything worked properly
<mmind00>
panicking: general handling when sending patches, please always include maintainers as well as lists (and use scripts/checkpatch.pl before sending :-) )
<rperier>
tlwoerner: weird... did you check that only on the firefly ? I mean, this is your only board ?
<rperier>
yeah... this part is not perfect, I used mkbootimg for rk3066/rk3188 to pack and sign image for the proprietary bootloader and I switched to the community uboot on the firefly, usually I use "rkflashtool" tools for this board :/
<tlwoerner>
rperier: yes, this is my only rockchip-based board
<rperier>
ok
<tlwoerner>
btw, i had wanted to demo something like glxgears or something like that. the 3.10.x kernel has some mali kernel module, i was able to compile glxgears and a bunch of other such programs, but when i tried running them i'd get some sort of message saying "failed to initialize libEGL" and other such errors
<tlwoerner>
any idea what's the glue i need to run these apps?
<mmind00>
tlwoerner: you'd also need the binary mali userspace libs
<mmind00>
the kernel module only interfaces between the hw and those libs
<tlwoerner>
what sorts of names would they have?
<tlwoerner>
are they provided somewhere? by rockchip perhaps?
<rperier>
did you look in official firefly images ? :)
<tlwoerner>
for something named libegl?
<mmind00>
tlwoerner: libmali* and libEGL*, libGLES*
<mmind00>
tlwoerner: and of course it depends on what kernel you actually use
<mmind00>
tlwoerner: the 3.10 one from Rockchip would need some fbdev based libs ... I think ARM provides some for the firefly
<tlwoerner>
i'm using git://bitbucket.org/T-Firefly/firefly-rk3288-kernel.git
<tlwoerner>
ok, googling finds it in a lot of places
<mmind00>
tlwoerner: that won't help you :-) ... i.e. the 3.10 kernel from Rockchip is fbdev-based ... while everything sane (and recent) uses the dri-subsystem instead

hello
<rperier>
via wifi + kexec for now (it is not flashed yet, I download and load it on the fly)
<cristian_c>
I've tried gpiodump. I loaded the kernel module and I've checked all the pins, in three modes but I'd like to know what to do in order to make things working. Any ideas?
<amstan>
rperier: kexec? cool!
<karlp>
cristian_c: your auto repeating message isn't very clear about what you are really asking for.
<karlp>
you might try rewording it, and asking manually each time.
<cristian_c>
karlp: about bluetooth support
<cristian_c>
karlp: but some days ago I've talked also about bluetooth issue , with othrr questions, with other words
<karlp>
yeah, but the single sentence that starts with "I've tried gpiodump" has nothing useful in it, and isn't encouraging any answers
<cristian_c>
karlp: in past, I've tried also patchrsm pkus
<cristian_c>
plus
<cristian_c>
but otner questions about this issue have not got difference, anyway :)
<cristian_c>
but there is also a page in linux-rockchip.info that relinks to github

amstan: kexec works since a while now on rockchip . The good new is that it means that all driver in mainline super kexec correctly , i.e deinitialize and initiliaze themselve correctly, which is very cool yep :)
<rperier>
(I work almost all the time with kexec)
