<quark_> anyone here have tried to get uboot sdram init work with rk3399 and lpddr4?
<anarsoul|2> quark_: I don't thinkg so. You need lpddr4 params from vendor to get it working... I guess best way is to extract it from blob
<quark_> I have done that. and also did some modifications which are done differently in vendor blob
<quark_> But I didn
<quark_> t get read gate training work
<quark_> So if someone has done similar work it would be nice to share knowledge
<anarsoul|2> I haven't gotten to it yet
<quark_> lpddr4 code path in vendor blob is way different from ddr3/lpddr3 so just wondering how much work this would need
<stikonas> quark_: there is an attempt by somebody, not successful
<stikonas> at least for now
<stikonas> so that guy ordered HW debugger now
<stikonas> or is it actuall you here?
<quark_> nope
<quark_> I have done some research just with vendor blob. Some parts of it are quite similar to u-boot code
aalm has joined #linux-rockchip
<stikonas> quark_: wasn't there some code in coreboot repository?
<anarsoul|2> stikonas: I believe not for lpddr4, but I can be wrong
<quark_> yep there is. but it mostly some code as u-boot one
<stikonas> oh ok...
<stikonas> it has some references to LPDDR4...
<quark_> same as uboot code
<anarsoul|2> stikonas: it's likely to be not tested
<stikonas> well, I would say contact Akash Gajjar (from that u-boot mailing list) and try to cooperate
<stikonas> I also haven't managed to boot with my self-compiled ATF. But maybe it will be better once I can switch to upstream u-boot
<quark_> yep I suppose that one is not tested. But actually there is some differences to uboot code
<quark_> that one does not exists in u-boot side
<stikonas> well, hopefully it will help, but I guess chances are low
<quark_> also I saw this code in vendor blob
<quark_> it is commented out for some reason

<beeble> quark_: i can tell you that the new driver will have some support for lpddr4 but as we don't use lpddr4 yet it is an untested codepath
