does someone with a 3.4 H3 could check the rx errors on ifconfig ?

is anyone here familiar with sunxi hdmi initialization?

on pine64, I don't get hdmi support even with the downstream kernel if u-boot doesn't do some magic

I ask since with the BSP Ethernet for H3 the exact same happens: Using wrong settings (Fast Ethernet on the GbE model and vice versa) crashes happen
<montjoie>
sorry I just rejoin do you have rx errors on ifconfig with BSP ethernet on h3 ?
<tkaiser>
I checked a few logs that collected ifconfig output but that happened pretty early so there were just a few packets sent. No RX errors but I doubt that is useful
<wens>
montjoie: mine (with my branch) has lots of RX errors

Ahh, okay. Still more trustworthy have Phoronix.
<willmore>
A tiny little bit of airflow makes all the difference between an Opi1 w/HS throttling and dropping cores and a 1.2GHz stable box and reasonable temps.
<willmore>
So, it's super easy to fudge benchmarks.

so, armbian, pull the kernel from unstable, pull the uboot from unstable, rm /boot/zImage, symlink the new kernel as zImage, reboot, fail epicaly?
<Keziolio>
don't you need an uImage?
<juri_>
skipping the zImage related stuff just causes it to boot the old kernel.
<Keziolio>
uhm try to look in /media/boot maybe
<NiteHawk>
i'm not sure if u-boot can handle symlinks properly - that's something you might want to check first

i'm rming a symlink.

What kind of error message do you get from u-boot?

i don't. it says 'booting kernel'... then i get a black screen / no ethernet.
