<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <sb10q> @serkan lots of people use this combination, but I don't think anyone actually made precise noise measurements from it. I don't expect an impact from BNC-IDC though.

<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <hartytp> @serkan 5432 wtf is that? Zotino?
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <hartytp> love how we had one incomprehensible naming scheme and we now have a second one running in parallel to make it "less confusing"
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <hartytp> nothing like a good dose of NIH
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <hartytp> anyway, assuming it's Zotino you're talking about then, yes, @rjo made some pretty good noise measurements
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <hartytp> they are in one of the issues on git hub, you should be able to find them with a search
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <hartytp> but we should probably link to them from the Wiki
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <hartytp> if you can't find them then poke me and I'll dig them out
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <hartytp> (although, obviously the actual performance will depend on your configuration -- load impedance, grounding, etc)
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <hartytp> @astro what's up?
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <hartytp> why are you using the internal reference for each channel?
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <hartytp> should be ex

<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <sb10q> @hartytp I had run this by you before and you approved it
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <hartytp> I wouldn’t say I approved it as much as I got to a point where I didn’t care enough to argue. I dislike the numbers less than having a parallel set of Russian names, eg calling grabber koster or whatever, but I still think it’s an overall worse solution than just sticking with the names we’re using on for hub
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <hartytp> Anyway it’s not my place to approve the names you sell products under
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <sb10q> the old names are still there. the part numbers are additional
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <hartytp> But if someone asks about a dac and only mentions a number then I’m never going to know what they’re talking about

<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <astro> @hartytp it was channel offset=0 that turned all the output to 0xffffff. I have implemented offset calibration but it seems to work only for one channel.
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <astro> I'm going to add build instructions and an updated command list next.
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <astro> pwm max (total) width are for now fixed by the mcu (or pwm driver for it)
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <astro> pid output is now `0.0..1.0`, scaled up to the DAC's max value in the firmware
<mtrbot-ml_> [mattermost] <astro> I use this PR for PWM which I hope gets merged soon: https://github.com/stm32-rs/stm32f4xx-hal/pull/125
