<hannes> the first mailing list archives are from 2011 (https://lists.xenproject.org/archives/html/mirageos-devel/2011-07/), but AFAICR 2009 was sth people told me
<mort___> oh yeah— so that was when the list was created
<mort___> anil and i had been discussing hte idea since ~2009/2010 (i believe anil had been talking about it / starting hacking on it with samoht and djs55 then too)
<mort___> we had a couple of papers around then too
<mort___> ~april 2010
<mort___> initial development was (i believe) supported via the Horizon project which started ~nov/2009
<mort___> i think that visions paper was the first time we wrote the ideas down
<mort___> the first commit in mirage/mirage is dated Nov24, 2009
<mort___> (though the first ocaml commit appears to be Nov25, 2009 amusingly)
