<flux__> how do I convert Int32 to Int64?
<flux__> through strings?
<Schmurtz> good question...
<flux__> well, I'm going the strings route for now :/
<flux__> and the reverse too..
<Schmurtz> Int64.of_int32 and Int64.to_int32
<flux__> oh, right, I only looked at Int32 :)
<flux__> muuuch nicer..
<Schmurtz> yes, it is ;)

<flux__> I'm converting a representation of time from float to a custom datatype, and it is indeed very nice to have the compiler tell you about inconsistensies :)

<tspier2> pango, are you here?
<pango> yes
<tspier2> Wouldn't I be able to use "let rec loop_blah" to define the recursive function, and then under the else statement, I could put "loop_blah" to send it back up, and keep going...therefore, creating a loop, right?
<pango> let rec loop_blah () even, if it is a function; Well yes, that should be fine
<tspier2> Okay
<tspier2> Thanks
<tspier2> I'm starting to get the hang of this, and I really like it. :>

<tspier2> Rofl
<tspier2> Wow, those words are completely wrong.
<dylan> That is the point.
<dylan> The... plausible nazi in the pink dress is also wrong, on many levels.
<tspier2> Lol
<tspier2> Yep
<tspier2> Kauf dir ein schlechtes spanisches Auto. Take a seat.
<tspier2> That really means, "You should buy a bad Spanish car."
<dylan> what about the last one, the cheesecake thing? I could never understand that one. :P
<tspier2> Let me check...
<tspier2> Hahaha

<tspier2> Lol
<tspier2> So what languages does everyone speak, or know a little of?
demitar_ has joined #ocaml
<dylan> other than english, I speak spanish. I can read quite a few languages though.
<dylan> Like german, unless it has really large compound words. :P
<tspier2> I primarily know English, because it is my mother tongue. I can read a little Latin and a little Spanish, because I had a year on both of them. (Mandatory) And...I can speak very little Polish, but I know enough to not get me killed. :P
<dylan> I took three semesters of Spanish, and there are lots of spanish-speaking people here... so I get practice. :)
<tspier2> Where do you live?
<Anarchos> sorry, i was eating
<dylan> Florida. :)
<tspier2> Nice
<tspier2> I live in PA.
<dylan> My grandfather is from there.
<tspier2> What county?
<dylan> I have no idea. :)
<tspier2> Lol
<tspier2> Do you know a city?
<dylan> ah, Philadelphia
