I'm doing some ocsigen and I have values of a fairly rich datatype that I want to store through pgocaml
<adrien>
(or macaque)
cbot has joined #ocaml
<adrien>
somehow that seems quite painful because of the number of things to handle, am I wrong? and is there anything that can reduce the amount of work I have to do?
<adrien>
(right now I think I'm going to Marshal everything first and store a dumb string)

<flux>
adrien, postgresql can store json(b).. :)
<adrien>
heh
<adrien>
I've actually noticed the Ocsipersist module and the ability to have persistance for Eliom_reference values
<adrien>
I guess they do some dumb marshalling and store a single string
<adrien>
I'm starting with Eliom_reference for now but it's a bit dirty for my needs
<adrien>
but I'll have a look at the json support, I'm already translating to JSON so maybe I can get something nice out of that
<flux>
postgresql can even make indices of those jsonbs, for potential additional advantages

works
<adrien>
I need to think more about the DB storage
<adrien>
for now it works so I'm happy and I won't be late this evening (I think I've never said on a saturday so early that basically I had my code working)
<orbifx[m]>
Is it coming along nicely or are there any snags?
<Drup>
the main snag is called "the typechecker codebase"
<orbifx[m]>
?

If you have or had a blog, would you expect the output of your templates to be completely driven by the templates (i.e. for any page you can embed any block possible), or would you expect to have different contexts available based on the type of the page?

mfp: the code that is running is in the "multi-pad" branch, it's a bit dirty and documentation hasn't been updated yet but I need to fill my taxes on tomorrow :P
* companion_cube
can provide the left and right pads, is that enough?
<adrien>
that's only for legacy
<adrien>
it's being added to standards and web browsers, you only need a chrome from git with 3 different flags to enable these features
