Likely stupid question, but what package provides Lwt_preemptive? Google searches lead me to believe that it should be `lwt`, but I do not seem to be having much luck with the compiler (although merlin recognizes it), and I get "no implementation provided for.." (also using true:thread)

you can find libraries on opam.
<lpollen>
rather than "it is 1.33 safer (repeating of course)", I'd just say that OCaml has a much more expressive and useful type system, which becomes a tool that you can use to be more precise with your programs than is possible with PHP. That has implications for safety but how much safety you get depends on your use of the tool.

Hi. I am just wondering...what is the main real word commerce purpose of Ocaml? I can see that there are some compilators written in Ocaml but it is quite hard to find something else. Async libs are years beyond Scala or Elixir. The same with the web frameworks.

m_m: I guess you meant to say 'behind', not 'beyond'? OCaml isn't that popular so you could say that it *doesn't* have a "main real word commerce purpose". If you look for Jane Street presentations about the language, just videos of them talking about their experiences with the language, they go into some of the appeal of the language as it is.

m_m: OCaml is a general purpose language. It can be used for a lot of things. If you look at https://ocaml.org/learn/success.html you will see some examples of usage in various company
