<rw> Just installed kak-lsp and ocaml-lsp with no fiddling or configuration and I seem to have working OCaml support in Kakoune.

<rw> I absolutely love Kakoune. I've been a vim elitist for a few years (my whole career), and I've only been using kak for a few days, but I don't plan on going back to vim (unless it's onivim maybe).
<oni-on-ion>
cool =)
<d_bot>
<rw> The thing that's been so striking is how little configuration I've felt the need to do. The first time I went to "update my kakrc", I realized I hadn't actually created one yet. And even now, it's only 19 lines, not including whitespace.

<rw> I haven't got a plugin manager. Just two plugins (auto-pairs and lsp).
<oni-on-ion>
nice. main reason i dont switch investment to another editor is because of existing depth of investment to current editor. not that i have reason to move, its nice to not be stuck in one place
<d_bot>
<rw> Feels great.
<d_bot>
<rw> I imagine if you're an emacs person, it'd probably be a less seamless transition, and maybe less obvious of an improvement.
<d_bot>
<rw> I've seen some of the main kak features like multi cursors demonstrated in emacs, at least.

<dash>
apparently the `objed` library for emacs was partially inspired by kakoune

<oni-on-ion>
speaking of, dash is a great (functional-style) library for elisp =)

hey, should I add `eval "$(opam env)"` to my `.bashrc`? I think I did that the last time I installed ocaml, but now I haven't seen any instructions to do that in the install guide
<d_bot>
<Splingush> I think `opam init` prompts you and adds it itself.
<plant_enjoyer>
hmm, it added a thing to my `.profile`
<plant_enjoyer>
it runs `opam-init/init.sh`
<plant_enjoyer>
I added it myself though, if it's supposed to be there then it's alright :) thanks
