(the GNU/ stickers were mostly about facilitating vandalism and only half serious to both of us, I think neither of us is very preachy \:P)
<alyssa>
Hehe
<ente>
(as a result, 34c3 was full of GNU/toilets and GNU/wash your hands\)
<alyssa>
lawl
<ente>
(in a way, that's strangely fitting, given how much GNU/ is in everyday electronics like probably washing machines and toasters and android phones, it just isn't very visible)
<ente>
anyway, that's highly OT
<ente>
I tend to talk on IRC a lot as a means of avoiding doing things I'm supposed™ to do

zips mouth shut
<alyssa>
me.
<ente>
you?
<alyssa>
ente: I tend to talk on IRC a lot as a means of avoiding doing things I'm supposed™ to do
<alyssa>
^^ me too thanks
<ente>
cool, something we have in common :D
<ente>
I should check out Krita
<sphalerite>
alyssa: what do you mean by embedded tablet?
<adjtm>
sphalerite, she used to carry a wacom tablet with the 201, now with kevin she doesn't need it
<adjtm>
(if I understand correctly)
<alyssa>
sphalerite: Kevin comes with a pen; the screen has a Wacom-technology tablet built in (independent of the touch screen)
<sphalerite>
aaah ok
<sphalerite>
neat
<alyssa>
"wacom" meaning pressure sensitivity and perfect palm rejection
<sphalerite>
so that's another plus over the c101pa since that's just a regular touchscreen?
<sphalerite>
right
<alyssa>
dunno what c101pa has
<alyssa>
(Ironically, palm rejection is horrible... since the touchscreen interferes)
<alyssa>
before opening Krita etc, and then you get perfect rejection
<sphalerite>
yeah I only have ELAN Touchscreen and ELAN Touchpad

alyssa, the pressure sensor is inside the pen, right?
<alyssa>
sphalerite: the device only shows up in xinput if you actually use the pen, it seems
<sphalerite>
alyssa: ah. I didn't get a pen with the laptop either though :p
<alyssa>
but if there's no pen with the laptop, well, no tablet :p
<alyssa>
adjtm: Don't think so
<alyssa>
IIRC there are electronics in the pen, but the actual sensing is done in (under?) the screen... lots of EMF stuff that went over my head
<Lyude>
chewitt: btw: I actually have fedora running on my vim2 now! but I'm still using a config based off yours; it seems like the issues that I had been having with things hanging on boot are related to something being built as a module, which fedora's config does by default with most of the meson stuff
<Lyude>
I haven't really looked too far into it though; focused on getting mali working first :) (mali_kbase loads and such now, so I'm making progress)
<Lyude>
i found fixes for the emmc and ethernet issues as well, although the shutdown issue still doesn't seem to be fixed even with the patches you gave me
<alyssa>
So basically everything I thought I knew about indexed draws is wrong

Going to be playing with buildbot's latent workers today since that is going to be necessary :D
