cfbolz changed the topic of #pypy to: PyPy, the flexible snake (IRC logs:
https://botbot.me/freenode/pypy/ ) | use cffi for calling C | the secret reason for us trying to get PyPy users: to test the JIT well enough that we're somewhat confident about it

what sort of stack does cffi use for ffi_call? I'm running into what looks like a stack overflow and wondering if pypy is likely to call my C function with a smallish stack for any reason
22:39
<
_aegis_ >
is C call chain -> pypy callback -> a few pypy functions -> long C call chain predisposed to running out of stack space?
22:43
<
_aegis_ >
ah yeah I'm definitely out of stack space, this is called from a GCD thread which only has ~520kb of stack space and either me or pypy managed to use it all
