cfbolz changed the topic of #pypy to: PyPy, the flexible snake (IRC logs: https://quodlibet.duckdns.org/irc/pypy/latest.log.html#irc-end ) | use cffi for calling C | if a pep adds a mere 25-30 [C-API] functions or so, it's a drop in the ocean (cough) - Armin

<Dejan> Could someone please tell me briefly what the applevel tests are?
<Dejan> and what the "own" tests are?
mattip has joined #pypy
<mattip> we run tests before translation (own tests) and after translation (applevel). The advantage of own tests is they are run before translation, so they should catch problems that will appear later.

<cfbolz> Dejan: do you mean the test classes 'class AppTestWhatever'?
<Dejan> i was looking at the night builds
<Dejan> and i am curious what is the difference between own tests and applevel tests
