<pizzaops> Silly question maybe - RubyMine, when linting my code, is telling me that using Class variables (@@) is bad style. I'm not really clear on why though. I have things I need to store, and use several times throughout the class, that never change in a instance of the class. I just need them in variables so that I don't have to manually write that code over and

<pizzaops> Ox0dea: the behavior in your example makes perfect sense to me...isn't one of the main points of inheritance that you can also override parts the parent?

<Ox0dea> Honestly, Ruby gives us the power to look at everything in the system as globally mutable, but some constructs make it a little harder to do, and there's surely some value in that.
