<wwahammy> Hey, I'm having some trouble setting up my sandcats instance. Is there anyone here who might be willing to help me?

<wwahammy> TimMc: I've installed sandstorm on my local server and setup sandcats according to the normal sandstorm install. When I go to the site on another machine (https://wwahammy.sandcats.io/setup/token/<admin token>) I get a "forbidden" response
<wwahammy> a 403 forbidden to be exact
<wwahammy> hmmm, I just realized that the firewall for my router may not be setup right :)
<TimMc> Interesting. And it's a sandstorm error, not some other server running there?
<TimMc> ah
<wwahammy> Everything is working now that I fixed the firewall. Thanks anyways :)

<ceiphas> hi! i have a problem with the omplementation of SAML. we have sandstorm on a linux host (synchronized via ntp with a stratum 2 host) and our active directory runs on a windows machine that is synchronized with a not known windows time service. it seems as if there is a clock skew of about a half to one seconds in there an everytime i try to login with SAML i get "Error validating SAML response: Error: SAML condition NotBefore is in the
<ceiphas> future." i read that a "grace period" of five minutes is allowed by SAML, but the client does not even use one second of grace time

<TimMc> ceiphas: Even if the client is allowed to use a grace period, it's weird that the server would be generating a NotBefore with the current timestamp.

<ocdtr_web> This looks super handy, and like it'd be a great fit for Sandstorm: https://monicahq.com/ https://github.com/monicahq/monica
<ocdtr_web> Pretty much intended to be self-contained and single-user, so probably super easy to package.

<jklllo> anyone know if the 'stretch goals' in https://sandstorm.io/news/2015-01-15-sandstorm-1.3M-seed-round-pay-it-forward was implemented?
<jklllo> particularly gpg login and the encrpytion stuff

<TimMc> The regular version of sandstorm does not appear to have per-document encryption.
<isd> powerbox is implemented
<isd> the app marketplace exists of course, but there's no payment stuff
<isd> afaik the others haven't happened.

<samba_> helo, I've a mediawiki in a grain in sandstorm. I need to export the db using the feature Special:Export mediawiki provides, but seems this is not working with sandstorm. is this a bug ?
jemc has joined #sandstorm
<isd> samba_: can you expand on "not working?"
<samba_> sure, when you clic on export it loads a minute and then nothing
<samba_> isd: do you have a mediawiki in your sandstorm?
<samba_> can you try a Special:Export ?
<ocdtrekkie> I will try it now.
<ocdtrekkie> On Oasis, when I go to Special:Export, type a page name into the export box, and click Export, it asks if I want to save an XML file.
<ocdtrekkie> samba_: What is your OS, browser version, etc.?
<samba_> firefox+linux
<samba_> the sandstorm server is my own
<isd> samba_: did you actually enter any page names in the box before clicking? I got the behavior you describe when skipping that (the UI wasn't immediately obvious to me), but it worked as ocdtrekkie described when I added Main_Page to the box
<isd> (I am also firefox+linux)
<ocdtrekkie> From my read of the thing, you have to enter a page name in the export box or a category in the box above that.
<ocdtrekkie> It does not appear to be so much "database export" as "page export".
<samba_> ok, but from my understanding if I'm not specifying the page name it should export all, right?
<ocdtrekkie> I already removed the grain and stuff again, but when I read the page, it did not seem like export all was a function of this page.
<isd> Yeah, the instructions on Special:Export don't really suggest anything other than the specific pages case.
isd has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<ocdtrekkie> And my opinion would be that if it's supposed to support export all, and doesn't, that's a MediaWiki issue, not a Sandstorm app issue, because the Sandstorm app does indeed download exports when specified correctly.
isd has joined #sandstorm
<isd> (If you want a backup of the whole grain, you can get one via the "Download Backup" button on the UI. But it won't be something that you can just load in another program)
<ocdtrekkie> https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Export is a good source of detail on what you can do with Special:Export. There is a PHP script to do a full export, but you won't be able to run it on the Sandstorm version.
