Hello! I'm interested in using Sandstorm for a project, but I can't quite figure out if the login scheme will work for us. Is it possible to log in to Sandstorm (Oasis) using a username/password, or does it always require the email authentication? I reviewed the docs, but didn't see a clear answer

Also, for the life of me I can't see where to sign up and pay (e.g. for the "Basic" plan). The link just takes me back to my demo acocunt...

GetMeCoffee: Nope, no username and password, unless you set up your own and integrate with an LDAP server.

I believe the reasons for this have to do with wanting grains and capabilities to be portable, and username/password isn't portable.

@TimMc - Thank you. I got the plan set up :-) I probably would have found it eventually, but I was trying to get it done fast with a colleague on the phone. It's those times when some hand-holding is needed!

I think the login arrangement will work. We can't get email at this project site and copy/paste is blocked, so we just have to hand copy the reg link.

Are there any hosting providers other than Oasis?
<simpson>
Not yet, I think.

I run mine on a laptop a neighbor threw out on moving day.

...I'll look into that.

If it weren't such a likely cost center, I'd be tempted to enter the market. But I don't think I can offer better price/service than Oasis.
