hi @kentonv I really love sandstorm oasis. I appreciate that you are still working on it, but i realize as you've stated it is more of a side project at this point. I've been noticing some of the APPs in the apps market get broken with updates to sandstorm, so in that sense the appbase is shrinking :(
<rainbowjaw>
I was wondering if you have ever heard of utopian.io?
<rainbowjaw>
they are a project which pays people for contributing to open source projects
<rainbowjaw>
i don't entirely know the inner workings of them, i know that if you are a project owner you can submit tasks, as an ask for issues and contributions that people could work on
<rainbowjaw>
They do this using the STEEM platform, it's a blockchain platform. While I don't love steem, utopian.io seems to be a really cool project giving funding to a number of open source projects
<rainbowjaw>
users can also submit work they have done on projects which haven't been officially endorsed by utopian as well
<rainbowjaw>
meaning i don't think you have to be partnered with them or anything
<rainbowjaw>
I think there is a wave of awareness of the problems with Google services
<rainbowjaw>
i really believe that a project like sandstorm could catch that wave and really take off, but the apps have to work and have to be feature rich!
