15:03 <TimMc> Sandstorm needs to know what base domain it is being served under (and can *only* be configured with one at a time) and also needs a TLS cert that matches that one domain.

15:04 <TimMc> It's not overly hard to get set up with a custom domain, but it's not as easy as just setting a CNAME.

15:29 <TimMc> The two additional ingredients you need to use a custom domain are 1) a way to keep the domain pointed at the right IP address (I use freedns.afraid.org at the moment) and 2) a wildcard cert (either buy one or use Let's Encrypt for free, at the cost of some scripting).
