hi
<asdft>
after manually creating a workplane, I was able to extrude an imported part. Unfortunately that sometimes leads to crashes. Am I using solvespace wrong? Should I only import solids?
<asdft>
My problem: I need a number of beams of different length with the same profile in my assembly. The plan was to have the profile in an external file and import+extrude it for every beam I create.

Is that even a good idea?
<swivel>
never done that myself but it sounds reasonable.
