this can be fixed by adding some more equations that fix the *sign* of a few constraints, but hasn't been due to backward compatibility concerns

when you drag something, signs generally don't change, so you still get the same configuration

but if you abruptly change a length, especially if it's a huge change, the sketch can flip into a different configuration, which might lack a local solution for all the constraints
