<stellar-slack> <hoony> it seems like everyone is asleep, but what kind of help do Stellar need the most? ex) developers to build on Stellar network?
<stellar-slack> <hoony> @joyce: great presentation at the UN btw.

<stellar-slack> <vanessa> Hi @hoony welcome!
<stellar-slack> <vanessa> at the moment, @matschaffer is looking for some code review help in #dev
<stellar-slack> <matschaffer> Graydon actually popped online for a bit before bed and merged those, but comments are always welcome.
<stellar-slack> <matschaffer> A big focus for the two of us right now is basically running stellar-core through as many test scenarios as we can
<stellar-slack> <matschaffer> And welcome @hoony !

<stellar-slack> <eva> welcome @hoony!
<stellar-slack> <joyce> Thanks @hoony - it was an amazing experience being there:)
<stellar-slack> <eva> @hoony: what parts of Stellar would *you* be most interested in helping with? :)
<stellar-slack> <hoony> @vanessa: @matschaffer thks ! and hello to all of you :)
<stellar-slack> <hoony> I was dreaming about a service that provides interoperability among currencies using block chain technology, but has with all the advantages that Stellar has
<stellar-slack> <hoony> Since I don't code, I would like to help to promote it :). Bitcoin is a currency and a protocol, and Stellar functions more as a protocol, so I think unless there is a novel way to promote it, we have to wait until people adopt to the service + people build on top of Stellar.
<stellar-slack> <hoony> anyways, It's great that Stellar has Slack, I think it's a great mode of communication ! Please feel free to add to my suggestions thx !

<stellar-slack> <eva> @hoony that's so great to hear! And agreed, it's great to chat in real-time with the community.
<stellar-slack> <eva> You say that interoperability is really important to you - is there something in particular about the way money moves in your local economy that makes you aware of that need?

<stellar-slack> <hoony> @eva I'm from Korea, so there are less limits to exchange currencies here in terms of infrastructure. There are some limitations to currencies flowing in-and-out of the country though. My interest in interoperability and currency transfers rise from growing abroad in the US and having family in China. Also, I was well aware how big the remittance market is and how much toll people have to pay for taxes and fees
<stellar-slack> as tier-ed KYC which @joyce mentioned really piqued my interest. I will try to keep in touch with the Stellar community to learn more and see where I can contribute. :grinning:
<stellar-slack> <eva> @hoony: ah, that makes sense. Must have been really interesting to see firsthand how difficult remittances can be on families. Great to hear that you're interested in stuff like tiered KYC, and really hope to see you around here more often!
