hey, anyone know how to get around "semantic error: unable to find member 'bi_rw' for struct bio" on kernel 4.9? too many packages depend on json-c, which was suggested to be removed as a workaround

franks2: There are several different probe types supported by systemtap. Some need debuginfo, some don't.
<franks2>
drsmith: aha, what is the name of the "thing" i need to compile apache with?
<drsmith>
I don't really know (since I've never compiled it), but I'd look for a configure option that enables markers.
<drsmith>
Markers are static instrumentation points compiled into software. Debuginfo isn't needed to find the markers, but is needed to decode types (if the markers arguments include a structure for instance).

franks2: it also might mention dtrace, since systemtap markers are source compatible with dtrace markers
