Hi all, is it possible to globally trace all processes running an SDT instrumented binary(a.out) without manually starting the command (-c) or attaching to an already running process (-x)? Would that even make sense to do so?

<fche>
of course
<fche>
just start stap without -c / -x, and it'll apply its probes systemwide
<fche>
(and even -c/-x only affect uprobes (process.* probes) - others are systemwide anyway)
<frdeso>
fche: yes, my question is about the use of process.*
<frdeso>
fche: okay thank you!
<fche>
good luck!
