stap 3.3's release note mentions that new spectre/meltdown kernel patches broke uprobes/tracepoints. is there a patch (or patches) already merged into the mainline? just wondering what versions of 4.14.x no longer have this problem.

i've found that reading global vars in the target via @var() assumes @entry(). is there a way to disable it? sometimes i really want to values of the globals at the return point, not entry.
