QuinnLion: well the thing is that there is no backup to apply :/
<paulk-aldrin>
you should always backup your efs before tempering…
<olmari>
paulk-aldrin: I know that, but tell that to mine brother =) but what is even more worrisome is that only thing happened was that battery died, no actually modding took place at the time
<paulk-aldrin>

I know where the imei is stored etc, just no known tools how to write it back... the qualcomm tools doesn't work on this particular model x)

as the gt-i9300 does not have qualcomm modem I have gathered, thus QPST won't work
<olmari>
or more said, did not work :P
<olmari>
QuinnLion: where you live? how much you take? can you really do it? can I trust you? ;D

<olmari>
QuinnLion: lol
<olmari>
mm well... problem seems ot be that gt-i9300 does not use qualcomm (even when other sgs3 variants use), and thus the more common stuff doesn't work... and so far only thing I have found to be theoretically working is some form of "magic box" where you connect phone into =)
<olmari>
I have looked like 24h straight at the time for working method.. but no.. :P
<QuinnLion>
Google "How to fix Galaxy S3 efs"
<QuinnLion>
Fist result has a few options
<olmari>
QuinnLion: 1) have no efs backup, 2) QPST or qualcomm tools does not work
<QuinnLion>
Right
<QuinnLion>
The thing I'm talking about doesnt use QPST

I have the default IMEI, but that doesn't work, ie is blocked by operator.. I'd need way to write back the original imei :P
<olmari>
most of the links on your searc terms was already visited ;P

most of the links talk about how to restore EFS that is backed up, which I don't have... Too late to do that :)
