<alexgordon> so there's this space different kinds of objects, that represent different things in different parts of the compilation process

<alexgordon> but something like {"kind": "ident", "val": "foo"} will stick around from begin to end

<alexgordon> in C++ it's all structs, inheritence and virtual methods, but JSON with a kind is soooooo much easier
