<vpeter> Maybe I ask already but can't hurt again: does exist any in-circuit sd card reader/writer? So you can program sd card without taking it off target device?

<aholler_> ? What's wrong with using /dev/mtd*
aholler_ is now known as aholler
<vpeter> aholler: when system doesn't boot it's little hard to access /dev/something.
<aholler> that's fixable by using a bit sw (u-boot), the existent watchdog and booting from something else. But if you really want some hw, look at hackaday, there was such a thing in the past few weeks
<vpeter> Mhm, I forgot on u-boot thing. Interesting idea.
<vpeter> And yes, I saw hackaday project. But mine will be little more advanced.

<vpeter> aholler: are there any standard aproaches to boot another small linux and transfer files to sd card? To avoid reinventing wheel.
<aholler> no as it depends from where you can get the other kernel from. so you have to script u-boot yourself.
<aholler> besides of enabling the watchdog and telling the kernel to reboot in case of an error
