nieuwbie: as for uart, what are you setting it at on both sides?
<nieuwbie>
What do you mean?
<nieuwbie>
ok I soldered wire pins to the pads like on the picture
<nieuwbie>
conected it acccccording to the spec
<nieuwbie>
GND - GND / RXD - TXD / TXD - RXD
<nieuwbie>
Using CP2101 chip
<nieuwbie>
using screen with 115200
<nieuwbie>
everything seems fine but I have no command echo
<nieuwbie>
cant use any editor
<nieuwbie>
can't also use usb keyboard cause my tablet doesn't recognise my usb keyboard
<libv>
it's an a10, so otg works
<libv>
unlike a20
<libv>
you should be able to use a usb keyboard on sunxi
<libv>
nieuwbie: are you booting the kernel with console=...115200 as well?
<libv>
setenv bootargs console=ttyS0,115200 ...

<nieuwbie>
you think that that maybe a problem?
<libv>
something worth fixing
<libv>
not that it will fix this

hi, there is a problem with the wiki http://linux-sunxi.org, i can't validate account: Mailer returned: Unknown error in PHP's mail() function.
<libv>
hrm
<libv>
itsmorefun: seems that your account was created though
<libv>
nieuwbie: iirc, default uboot setting is to try both ext2 and fat
<nieuwbie>
Turl: what do you mean doomed to fail?
<itsmorefun>
without validate, can't write or edit anything
<libv>
hrm, i see no option from my end
<libv>
Turl: ?
<libv>
we both have the same permissions, so perhaps reaching deep into the wiki
<libv>
or do we just delete and let itsmorefun try again

nieuwbie: the default setting is to try both fat and ext2
<libv>
one of the two will fail
<nieuwbie>
but how is that possible?
<nieuwbie>
If I get this it checks for fat and then for ext2
<itsmorefun>
if i go to Preferences then Change email address same problem, i think the problem is the php mail function, not my account
<nieuwbie>
so if I have ext2 why it can't find it?
<libv>
include/configs/sunxi-common.h in u-boot

Hi, Can I use a simple USB 3G dongle on a Cubieboard2? Have anyone tested it ? I am asking this because those Axx processors seems to need extra GPIOs to make it work (http://linux-sunxi.org/Fex_Guide#3G_configuration) and I never heard about a 3G dongle that needs other pins, just USB.
<WarheadsSE>
Why would a 3G dongle over USB need "extra pins?
deasy has joined #linux-sunxi
<Marcos__>
If you read the page I posted before it says about a UART, "power enable", a "wakeup" and a "interrupt" GPIO. I don't know what it means. I actually never heard about a 3G dongle with that. They have just a USB plug and nothing more.
<bfree>
that stuff is for devices with internal 3g, not for a "normal" usb dongle
