does bundler provide any mechanism to copy over installed Gems to ./vendor/bundle/blabla? I'm talking about the full load (compiled stuff, source code, etc) instead of only the .gem files (what bundle cache/package do)
<yorickpeterse>
reason: for tests Gems are installed user wise so you don't have to re-install the same god damn version over and over again (e.g. Nokogiri). However, when building a release we want those Gems in the package itself, thus they must be somehow copied to ./vendor/bundle
<yorickpeterse>
Right now I basically do `bundle install` .... `bundle cache --all` and then `bundle install --deployment --local` but that will still recompile stuff like Nokogiri

When I use the following code in Ruby 2.0.0p247 FileUtils.cp("img/#{@first_name}#{@last_name}.#{ext}","../img/student/"), I get the error ~//.rvm/rubies/ruby-2.0.0-p247/lib/ruby/2.0.0/fileutils.rb:1374:in `initialize': Is a directory - ../img/student/ (Errno::EISDIR)

i've actually been getting lots of obnoxious fileutils errors like this. :/

server is using p247 and local is using p195 and it seems like p247 gives all these fileutils errors
<tubbo>
stef1a: yeah i don't really use fileutils anymore. i'd just do `cp img/#{@first_name}#{@last_name}.#{ext} ../img/student/`

actually, i had a question in mind relating to that. what lint / code metric tools do you use or recommend? one use case i have in mind is to create metric statistics from a large repository
<deggis>
i have few random things i'd like to check, but about code metrics in general the first thing would be to learn what can be measured
<xybre>
deggis: I use rubocop and metric_fu
<xybre>
I also use coveralls for code coverage metrics.
<deggis>
xybre: thanks! i'll test those out
