* penguin42
is playing with sandstorm in a vm, interesting
<penguin42>
not everything is quite integrated; e.g. the Davros file storage doesn't seem to talk to the other apps, I don't think I can save a draw.io drawing to it and then send it to someone from the Rocket.chat app

<DanC_>
penguin42, I'm not sure how Davros is relevant, but sharing a drawing via Rocket.chat works, no?
<DanC_>
sharing is at the grain level. So you can share a whole Davros grain
<zarvox>
penguin42: click the `+` button next to the text input box in Rocket.Chat to share a link to e.g. the draw.io drawing
<penguin42>
DanC_: But does sharing the grain allow people to edit everything in that Davros grain?
<penguin42>
oh I see you can share as read only
<penguin42>
but for example if I do an export-as-svg in draw.io I can download it, but I don't think I can save it back onto the sandstorm instance in any way - e.g. onto Davros
<penguin42>
or if I had a single file in Davros I can't 'import' it into draw.io
<DanC_>
you can't upload the svg into Davros?
<penguin42>
DanC_: I think you have to download it to your computer and then upload it back into Davros
<DanC_>
yes
<penguin42>
I was hoping for integration at the file level, in much the way that G.Drive is integrated with G.Docs etc
<DanC_>
I continue to hope for such. But it doesn't come for free.
<DanC_>
whereas saving to /var is natural to existing software
<penguin42>
nod

I see the enterprise version has scale-out/failover - but the free version doesn't?

Hello friends!
<kentonv>
hi, Fermal
<Fermal>
I'm trying to figure out how to create a free account on a library public computer. I'm logged in to the demo via gmail and have a countdown timer in the lower left. There is a "create free account" button. I click that then "with google" and it reloads the page but the timer and the "create free account" button are still there. Does creating a fre
<Fermal>
e account just mean a one hour demo?

<kentonv>
Fermal: that's odd. When you click "with Google" it should redirect to Google login.
<Fermal>
Yeah I already logged in via google once and it did do that.
<kentonv>
Fermal: Oh, you've logged into Oasis with a Google account before?
<kentonv>
that might be the problem, then. If you're in the demo it wants to upgrade your demo account to a free account, but since there's already a free account attached to your Google account I think it's getting confused
<kentonv>
ugh, that's a pretty bad bug. :/
<Fermal>
hmm
<kentonv>
do you care about saving the demo account data?
<Fermal>
No
<kentonv>
ok, then what you can do is:
<kentonv>
Open the Javascript console (F12), then type "Meteor.logout()" as a command
<kentonv>
then log in using your Google account

<kentonv>
Meteor.logout() will end your demo
<Fermal>
Ah, that did the trick. Thanks!
<Fermal>
Next time should I use something else to navigate there instead of the try a demo link?
