<codeworkx>
iKillCypher: galaxy nexus is also using 3.0
<codeworkx>
iKillCypher: new devices = new kernel, updated devices = old kernel
<iKillCypher>
oh o.o strange Im sure that does not happen in Linux lol !
<iKillCypher>
anyway so are you getting Xerpia Z cause I will be confirm getting one o.o no idea if I will sell off my S2 Here may keep it for development purpose
<codeworkx>
why no nexus?
<iKillCypher>
nah man :P specs are pretty much the same as mako after all I can choose if I want use stock or cyanogenmod
<iKillCypher>
I doubt sony development is that bad
<codeworkx>
iKillCypher: doesn't have a separate recovery partition
<iKillCypher>
doesn't have a separate recovery partition ?
<codeworkx>
like the s2
<iKillCypher>
the xerpia z does not have it ?
<codeworkx>
nope
<codeworkx>
no sony device
<codeworkx>
because sony doesn't need it
<codeworkx>
but they might switch soon
<iKillCypher>
oh cool
<iKillCypher>
anyway man I really dont know if I should get a nexus or xerpia z cause my brain like screaming when the day comes I will most likely ask all the cyanogenmod developers on what should I get which is availble here
<slick_rick>
anyone here have an odroid u2?

iKillCypher: if you wanna have no bugs and fast updated take a nexus
<Jiangyi>
Well, no device-specific bugs. Can't promise that the system has no bugs :-P
<Jiangyi>
First 4.2 release was a mess.
<cdesai>
codeworkx: atleast z uses boot.img
<iKillCypher>
code
<iKillCypher>
with the recent launch of our LG Optimus G, we currently have no plans to retail the Nexus 4 in Singapore. Thank you.
<iKillCypher>
see how f up is it over here
<Jiangyi>
lol
<Jiangyi>
Oh silleh LG. :-P
<Jiangyi>
And I thought the only country that doesn't get a Nexus device was China.
<iKillCypher>
well so I hope you understand code on why
<iKillCypher>
let see if nexus gets sony next
<iKillCypher>
cause I really hope so
<iKillCypher>
codeworkx under developers options you need to remove simulate secondary displays cause if you change to any of this options it will hang the device and rebooting does not help the only way is to restore by back up GT-I9100
<Jiangyi>
iKillCypher: Well, dev options aren't meant to be randomly played around in the first place anyways. :/
<Jiangyi>
I don't think there's an easy way to disable some for specific devices either.
<codeworkx>
iKillCypher: dev options are dev options
<codeworkx>
iKillCypher: and no user or noob options
<codeworkx>
Jiangyi: 6am, dock fixed on tablet, -> sleep
<Jiangyi>
codeworkx: why u leave whitespace error! :p
<Jiangyi>
lol jk, good night!
<Jiangyi>
I'll fix it when I translate for Tab 2 :-P
<slick_rick>
codeworkx: new mali r3p1 is working much better than what was being used before
<slick_rick>
thanks

<paulk-desktop>
iKillCypher, I would choose something Debian-based :)
<iKillCypher>
Espenfjo, scroll up and read about why focus not working >:(
<iKillCypher>
paulk-desktop> I think that teamhacksung people removed the correct header because they thought it was a duplicate of the one in exynos4/hal/include
<iKillCypher>
<paulk-desktop> but as a matter of fact, it's not and it's needed
<iKillCypher>
<paulk-desktop> especialyl for auto-focus

<paulk-desktop>
Espenfjo, then autofocus should work
<iKillCypher>

<iKillCypher>
I can confirm this after testing
<Espenfjo>
Our kernels videodev2_exynos_media.h is way different from your version of it
<iKillCypher>

<je>
does scu_feat_serial_number_get() ring a bell for anyone? what serial number may this refer to? (reversing the baseband, and there's a debug message that refers to the function name in question)
<je>
it's 12 bytes btw.
<angelsl>
the baseband?!
<angelsl>
which device?
<je>
GT-i9300. the NELK2 baseband.
<je>
hmm. the serial number behind the battery = 12 bytes, so i guess that might be it.
<je>
it's used to generate an encryption key.

my bad. the serial number printed behind the battery is 11 bytes, but i guess it might be it anyway.
