Allanitomwesh: eoma68 is a standard (which doesn't necessarily have a processor)
<Allanitomwesh>
ah,okay
<lkcl>
Allanitomwesh: so i deduce that you mean the eoma68-a20. there are _some_ efforts to port replicant to the allwinner a20 processor

<Allanitomwesh>
but the crowdfunded card has an arm processor
<Allanitomwesh>
lkcl: yes i mean that
<lkcl>
Allanitomwesh: it's ok - it's a common mistake, made by no less than *six* people attempting to edit the newly-created wikipedia page for example!
<Allanitomwesh>
which is already up for deletion lel
<lkcl>
Allanitomwesh: yeah. sooo.... if you google "replicant a20" you'll find that there's efforts been attempted
<lkcl>
Allanitomwesh: yeah - there will be an update about that, shortly :)
<lkcl>
okay so there's even a talk at fosdem2014 about porting replicant to the a20...
<Allanitomwesh>
awesome
<Allanitomwesh>
would be great for tablet idea
<lkcl>
yeahyeah. i'd be much happier being able to say that replicant's up and running on the eoma68-a20 than android
<lkcl>
Allanitomwesh: but, bear in mind, any OS has to be versatile, adapt to changes even in screen-resolution. for android and replicant that's a *big* ask
<lkcl>
normally you do a TOTAL recompile of the android OS to target "certain screen sizes"
<lkcl>
you then get dumped with a load of icons that are suited for that screen size and that screen size *ONLY*.
<Allanitomwesh>
so if you swap devices it goes to hell?
<Allanitomwesh>
yeah i can see that doing unky thing when theres more implementatins like the console
<lkcl>
Allanitomwesh: it might... you could end up with tiny icons (designed for a 640x480 LCD) in the top right corner only... i don't know how android actually works in too much detail. anyway
<Allanitomwesh>
fingers crossed it all works out then
